Problems with Wireless Internet on Acer laptop and Linksys?
So we just purchased Linksys wirless internet router and We could hook it up to the regular computer just fine; but when We tried connecting my Acer laptop to the Linksys network I get a message saying “The settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network”
I don’t know what to do.
Do I change the settings?
I’m so puzzled.

regular computer is wired, yes? Acer laptop is wireless, yes? Linksys wireless router has Wireless network name, which you set, and WEP or WPA encryption code, which you set. Acer laptop needs to look your your network with your encryption code. If the Acer laptop does not support WPA, for instance, you may have to use WEP encryption.
