Whats the role of sodium tungstate in Iron ore Determination ?

we had an experiment ,we are to determine the iron content of an ore.After digesting the sample with HCL we added in SnCl2 then added in sodium tungstate then added titanium chloride then potassium dichromate.afterwards put mixed acid of sulfuric and phosphoric then diphelamine sulfonate as indicator then titrated it with potassium dichromate. can somebody give me all the reactions and give me the role of each of the chemicals used in this procedure. Thanks.

Here are the un balanced reactions:

1) Fe + HCl —> Fe3+
(Digestion of Fe(s) to Fe3+)

2) Fe3+ + Sn2+ —> Fe2+ + Sn4+
(reduction of Fe3+ to Fe2+)

3) Sn2+ + HgCl2 —> Hg2Cl2 (s) + Sn4+
(removal of the excess Sn2+)

4) Fe2+ + K2Cr2O7 —> Fe3+ + 2K+ + Cr3+
(oxidation of Fe2+ with potassium dichromate)

The basis of a redox titration is the quantitative preparation of the analyte in an appropriate oxidation state followed by titration with a standardized oxidizing or reducing agent.
