Hematite fake can you get?
i went to shell island in wales for my holiday and hematite Bought a ring and bracelet. the ring broke today, Even Though I've only HAD Less Than it for 2 days, i know, (or Thought I Knew) That Was magnetic hematite, Because it is not a rock But infact iron ore. so, basically i Used a magnet to pick the pieces up, But It would not work when i found a piece of it, does this mean I've Been Swizz? the hematite isn't real? or does it mean that i just misunderstood something? please answer nicely and dont Give Any abuse me, i didn't Exactly lose money on this, i was just curious is all. =] thanks in advance. Haematite is only weakly magnetic, magnetite brother unlikable ITS (similar chemical composition). Haematite is Also a very brittle material will shatter That Easily When dropped in ring form. So you did buy real haematite, Did not you just look after- it well: P PS Have a Tungsten Carbide rings similar to haematite ones Appearance, But They Are more expensive last for a long time (Tungsten Carbide is extremely hard).
